Financial Literacy Entrepreneurship and Creative Industries Program aims to reduce the barriers associated with economic development, improvement, and advancement through financial literacy attainment, entrepreneurial and self-employment and creative industries support that inspires greater resilience and stability.

Registration opens on April 29th 2024.

May - August Tuesday and Thursday 6PM - 8PM|EST. Online and In-person sessions.

  • In person and online 1 on 1 sessions where facilitators help participants fill out and complete grant applications or business plans

Creative Industries Fundamentals

WEEK 7

Session 1

  • Breaking into the music and film industry

  • Understanding art as a business

  • Music and film associations and how they can help bridge the gap

  • Networking and collaborating pro tips on effectively navigating events and conferences

  • elevator pitches, how to connect with to industry professionals

Session 1

  • Creative arts management 101, what it takes to be a manager, what skills do you need vs what skills you currently have

  • This session will be geared towards the needs of participants

WEEK 9

  • Creating content for your business - In person/ In studio sessions. This is a hands on workshop to help participants bring their vision or product to life

Program wrap-up / Next Steps

WEEK 10

  • We help participants connect with additional resources and affiliate programs. Including, helping qualified participants secure, first time business accounts and funding sources
